Game Play

  1. A player or team will toss the bag from a distance of 10 feet from toe to front of board. (Distance can be altered as desired, according skill set or age)

  2. A coin flip will decide which player or team will start the initial game. Every subsequent round start will be alternated.

  3. Each round will consist of (2) opponents tossing onto the board. Bags are not to be cleared, or points counted, until the end of each round.

Scoring

  1. A game will be played to (21) points. A player or team must score exactly (21) points to end the game.If a player or team tosses a score above (21) that player or team’s score will be reset to (15).

  2. A player or team’s point(s) will be calculated at the end of the round.

  3. A player or team can only earn points by tossing a bag fully into a hole on the board.

    Hole points are as specified
    Largest = (1) point Middle = (3) points Smallest = (5) points

  4. If a player or team lands their bag into the same hole as the opposing team, this will result in a cancelation of that hole’s points.

  5. If a player or team has (2) bags in a single hole and the opposing team lands only (1) bag in that same hole only (1) bags point(s) will be canceled.

  6. For every bag that hasn’t landed on the board the player or team will subtract (1) point from their score per bag, with a minimum score of (0). If any part of the landed bag is touching the ground or floor this will result in a loss of point(s). If a tossed bag bounces from the ground or floor onto the board, the points will be scored as if landing on the board.

  7. A player or team is allowed to hit an opposing bag off the board, resulting in a loss of point(s) for the opposing player or team. If in this effort their bag lands off the board Scoring Rule #5 will apply. If a player or team hits an opposing bag into a hole, the corresponding point(s) will be awarded to the opposing player or team.

  8. If both players or teams reach (21) points in the same round, the games winner will be decided by a Sudden Death round.

Sudden Death

  1. If the game is being played in teams, the next player in turn will be required to toss the Sudden Death points.

  2. The player or team to score the most points in a round (3 bags) will be awarded the game.

  3. In the event players or teams toss the same amount of points in a Sudden Death round, the Sudden Death process will be repeated until a game winner is decided.

  4. Sudden Death points will not be added to the 21 game points but rather will be counted separately with no limit.

  5. Points for a Sudden Death round will be calculated the same as a regular game. With the exception of NO points subtracted for bags not landed on a board.
